4-Day Break

Day 1 – Local departure by coach then onward to join our cruise ship, the ‘M.S. Prinses Juliana’, in Remagen, for a three night cruise.
Day 2 – Cologne (included). Perfume and Chocolates Walking Tour (included). Today we cruise to Cologne to experience the magic of the Christmas markets. Cologne has six Christmas markets located in different areas of the city, and one of the most popular is situated at the Alter Markt, with halftimbered stands, set amongst the beautiful backdrop of the Old Town. We will join our guide for an included perfume and chocolate walking tour. We visit the museum dedicated to the famous ‘Farina’ cologne, and the Imhoff chocolate museum, where we discover the secrets of chocolate production, and have the opportunity to sample the local produce. Enjoy free time in Cologne this evening to explore the markets and sample the festive specialities, and, perhaps to enjoy a meal in one of the traditional restaurants. B
Day 3 – Düsseldorf with Shopping tour (included). We continue our cruise to Düsseldorf. Boasting two main Christmas markets, located in the Old Town and around the Schadowplatz, Düsseldorf is also home to the Königsallee, one of Germany’s most fashionable streets. A local guide will join us to give a tour of the shopping area and markets. A farewell dinner is included on board ship this evening. B,D
Day 4 – We leave our ship at Düsseldorf after breakfast and then return home. B

Accommodation

The ‘M.S. Prinses Juliana’ is a 3-star standard cruise ship. Onboard facilities feature three decks, including a sun deck, and a lounge, bar and restaurant. All cabins are located on the Main Deck and have twin beds and telephone. Each night the ship will moor in a central location of town, allowing you to easily visit the main sights and the markets.
