Itinerary
Day One - Fly to Munich and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may have time to explore this city where the beer halls and traditional restaurants - try Haxnbauer for the celebrated roast pork knuckle - are thronged with revellers and diners until late.
Day Two - This morning, before heading to Munich's Christmas markets, join our included, guided city tour, and discover the highlights of this compact city. Gothic churches, including the great onion-domed cathedral, elegant Maximilianstrasse, the Bavarian State Opera house and the iconic buildings of the 1972 Olympic Park all contribute to Munich's attraction.

Elsewhere you'll find Christmas markets for everyone, from the marvellous children's workshop market, and the Krippenmarkt dedicated to hand-crafted nativity scenes, to the medieval Chritmas market at Odeonsplatz. Whichever you choose to visit you are assured a wonderful, fascinating time.
Day Three - Today's optional excursion to the beautiful Austrian city of Salzburg. Here, in Mozart's birthplace, the festive season is celebrated with a traditional Christmas market whose stalls are laid out in the central Cathedral Square.
